3 Lessons We Can Learn From Our Dogs
Dogs can teach us valuable lessons in diversity and relationships!
Among the many lessons dogs can teach us, here are 3 of the best:
1. Live in the moment - play when you can; rest when you can; but celebrate the time you are spending together NOW!
2. Have fun - life is too short not to run and swim and laugh! Play in the rain! One day, you'll miss that feeling!
3. Love yourself - doesn't matter if you're big or small; you don't need to be anyone but yourself! Others will love you for being you!
We had a doggy playday with dogs of various sizes and breeds. As it turns out, the biggest dog, Rex, a Rodesian Ridgeback, became best buddies with one of the smallest dogs, Guiness, an energetic, fun-loving Dachshund.
You just have to love how dogs are able to get along with each other! Big or small, they figure out how to be friends.
Jacqueline Woodson said it best: "Diversity is about all of us, figuring out how to walk through this world together"
